The Toledo Region offers a comprehensive range of utilities. The region’s utility providers provide excellent energy usage audits, evaluations and incentive programs.
Several electrical utility companies power the region. Much of it is served by Toledo Edison, a division of FirstEnergy Corporation. The region's supply is provided by two clean, modern coal burning plants and one nuclear powered station located in northwest Ohio. Other electrical power sources include American Electric Power, Buckeye Power, and Hancock Wood Electric.
Columbia Gas of Ohio, a subsidiary of Ni-Source, one of the nation's largest integrated natural gas companies, serves much of the Toledo Region. COH has the largest Customer CHOICE programs in the U.S. Ohio Gas supplies some areas in the western part of the region.
The Toledo Region is home to a number of full-service telecommunications providers that allows you to connect with anyone, anywhere, at any time. Our region is home to several full-service providers specializing in cable television, local and long distance telephone services, high-speed internet access, and advanced digital video programming.
